The pale yellow 105 Resin forms the base of West System's epoxy compounds. It has a viscosity of 1000 centipoise for easily wetting out wood, fiberglass, metal and fabrics. The 206 Slow Hardener is blended with the resin at a 5:1 ratio to initiate curing over 10-15 hours at temperatures as low as 60°F. It maximizes working time, with a pot life of 20-25 minutes at 72°F before gradually curing to full strength over 1-4 days. Together they yield a high strength solid that bridges gaps as it cures. This versatile epoxy system suits most bonding situations. It can be sanded and shaped when cured. The resin can also be paired with other West System hardeners for different cure times. This bundle contains 4.3 pints of 105 Resin and a matching container of 206 Slow Hardener, enough for multiple projects. Modify the epoxy with West System fillers, additives and pigments to achieve the handling and physical properties needed for coating, bonding or fairing applications.
